We’re pleased to announce that the Nutrition Assessment Shared Resource (NASR) at Fred Hutch has launched a convenient new option for dietary data collection. This dietary data collection tool is convenient for participants to use and easier for study staff to manage than paper booklets.
Process At-A-Glance:
- Study determines number of intake days and time points at which food records will be collected
- NASR sets up the project on secure Portal website
- Participant/patient accesses their food record via a study-provided URL link
- Food record can be completed on any internet-connected device (no apps or downloads necessary)
- Information about foods and beverages are entered into the easy-to-use interface
- A serving size guide is included in the food record to help participants report their portions more accurately
- Study staff can view the participant/patient’s entries in real time
- Study staff submit food record to NASR for nutrient analysis
- When data collection is complete, NASR generates nutrient dataset and posts to Portal
- Nutrient datasets contain HEI scores and 170+ nutrients
