UW NORC Staff Announcements: Lisa Harper, MS, RDN, CD

Announcement on behalf of Johanna Lampe, PhD (Research Professor of Epidemiology;  Co-Director of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center Prevention Center Shared Resource; and Associate Core Director UW NORC’s Associate Core Director):

Welcome to the UW NORC team:  Lisa Harper, MS, RDN, CD – Fred Hutch’s New Human Nutrition Lab Manager!

The Human Nutrition Lab provides comprehensive support for the conduct of human feeding and nutrition intervention studies. This fall, Lisa Harper, MS, RDN, CD, joined the Fred Hutch Prevention Center Shared Resource as the Human Nutrition Lab Manager. We are excited to have her join our team in this capacity. Lisa has a wealth of experience in nutrition research. Some of you may know Lisa already, as she has been a research interventionist for several diet studies, including Cook and Move for your Life study at the Fred Hutch.

After supporting nutrition research as a per diem Dietitian at Fred Hutch and Seattle Children’s for several years, Lisa is excited to take on a larger role as the Human Nutrition Lab Manager. Her professional interests are diverse, spanning from community-based behavioral interventions—where she first began her career—to controlled feeding studies. In her interventionist work, Lisa is passionate about helping participants overcome barriers to make healthy eating more accessible. When it comes to controlled feeding studies, she is especially eager to collaborate with study teams, helping to bring their research goals to life.
