Announcing a New Member of UW NORC Biostatistics Subcore – Ken Rice, PhD

The University of Washington Nutrition Obesity Research Center (UW NORC) welcomes Ken Rice as one of the new UW NORC’s Biostatistics Subcore’s member effective September 1, 2023.

Ken Rice is a Professor of Biostatistics and Graduate Program Director at the University of Washington’s Department of Biostatistics.

His research focuses primarily on developing and applying statistical methods for complex disease epidemiology, notably cardiovascular disease, and he leads the Data Coordinating Center for the new National Institutes of Health (NIH) Polygenic Risk Score Diversity Consortium.

Ken is a fellow of the American Statistical Association and has been a fellow of the Royal Statistical Society since 2002. He has a BA in Mathematics and a PhD in Biostatistics from Cambridge University in the UK.
