Travel Awards to 2nd Pennington / Louisiana Trans-NORC training course

Dear NORC Affiliate Investigators and trainees,

Thanks to a supplemental NORC grant, the Pennington Biomedical Research Center has some unique opportunities for early stage investigators and senior postdoctoral fellows. They will be hosting the 2nd Pennington / Louisiana Trans-NORC training course to be held April 26-28, 2022. Preceded by the 2022 Pennington Biomedical Research Center Scientific Symposium entitled “Biological and Behavioral Mechanisms of Weight Loss Maintenance” held April 24-26, 2022.

**The budget of their supplemental award allows the Pennington/Louisiana NORC to cover registration, course costs, travel, lodging and meal per diem for UW NORC participants to attend the Training Course at Pennington Biomedical Research Center.**

Attached is the official notice for the 2nd Pennington / Louisiana Trans-NORC training course. There is the option to attend only the training course, or to attend the training course along with 2022 Pennington Biomedical Research Center Scientific Symposium. They will handle ALL travel arrangements for all chosen investigators.

If you are interested in attending, please 1) write a paragraph on your interest, 2) indicate if you want to attend the Symposium and/or Training Course, and 3) send your CV to uwnorc@uw.edu by November 12th at 5:00 pm. This will be a competitive process with only a select few being able to attend.
